A Romantic Rose Garden is the Heart of Pamela Anderson’s Property

A true lover of nature, Pamela wanted her rose garden to be overflowing gorgeous flowers. That meant designer Francesca and the team brought in plenty of blooms. From flowering plants, to perennials and annuals, the garden will be blooming with life now and in the years to come.

The gates proved to be one of the most problematic aspects of the design. They needed to be “both delicate and strong” — like Pam! Delicate in design to complement the soft, European vibes going on in the garden, yet strong and sturdy enough to stand up to the seasons and yard work going on around them. Eventually Darren nailed it, creating a gate that swings both ways to make Pamela’s garden work as easy as possible.

Pamela’s garden is chock-full of every vegetable a vegan could want: Carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, Swiss chard, cabbage, beets and more. Pamela is particularly proud of her first garden given that she planted it herself, all from seeds!

Though it’s her first-ever garden, the veggies are on fire! Pamela’s pumpkin patch is absolutely thriving and she is a little more than protective of them. Before the team can get to work building the new fence, they need to carefully cut the old wire fence from around the pumpkins, ensuring that they don’t damage any of Pamela’s precious gourds. Careful not to get on Pamela’s bad side by injuring a pumpkin, the crew happily leaves most of the task to Dan, Pamela’s husband (though Darren does get roped into helping as well).

Adding additional function to the garden, Francesca created this darling little dining area where Pamela and her family can enjoy tea, a twilight dinner or champagne amidst the rose garden.

Francesca sourced this beautiful vintage wrought iron arch to bring the European feel that Pamela loves. Strung with fairy lights, it provides a dream-like ambiance for romantic evenings in the garden.

Plenty of candles add to the French countryside design. One of the best parts? Pamela can pick roses from her garden to create stunning floral centrepieces, like the one seen here.

Francesca created additional seating zones in the rose garden by sourcing two sweet vintage white wrought iron benches from a local antique shop in the area. Perfect for reading a book or enjoying a morning cup of coffee!

Francesca picked up the design from The Roadhouse front porch, using the same pink rose-patterned material for the garden throw pillows as she did for those on the wicker furniture out front.

One of the reasons that the rose garden was so important to Pamela is that her parents want their ashes to be spread in the garden when they pass. Pamela was set on honouring their wishes by creating a beautiful blooming garden full of the finest imported roses that they can enjoy now and forever.
