Kortney’s fairytale love story started off with a twist. Newly divorced from her former co-star and father of her three children, Kortney was single but not quite ready to mingle. After meeting Ryan online (more on that here) it was pretty much love at first sight. It’s been a modern day romance complete with a breathtaking beachside wedding that had everyone laughing, crying, dancing, and feeling footloose and fancy-free.

This beautiful moment between Ryan and Kortney’s sons, Jett and Sully, captured at the ceremony signifies new beginnings for a family that has been through a lot in recent years. It’s hard to believe from the smiles on these faces, but Kortney has shared that the years following her divorce were really tough. But at Kortney and Ryan’s wedding, the love was written on everyone’s faces!

We’re loving the chic and beachy vibe Kortney and Ryan created for their big day. The vintage rugs were the cherry on top of the boho sundae. To add a pop of celebratory fun, the bridesmaids dressed in pink and fuchsia in styles of their choice. Kortney chose to have her girlfriends walk her down the aisle. They were by her side in the aftermath of her divorce so who better to usher her into the next chapter of her life?

There was no shortage of laughter and love but can we take a moment to appreciate the dress? The barely-there straps were subtly sexy and tasteful, a perfect embellishment to her exposed back. It was the perfect choice for a dreamy beach wedding.

Nothing says chic beach vibes more than an all-white ensemble. We love the contrast between the groomsmen and bridesmaids. Having the men in all white means the women could really stand out.

We love new chapters and this photo captures a special moment for Kortney and her three children: Jett, Sully and Lennox, with Ryan. The happy couple invited 140 of their closest friends and family. Each guest was greeted with a personalized coconut as a memento for the special event. Hopefully they were able to fit them into their suitcases going home!

As if Kortney would miss a major design moment! Designing and decorating a home is one thing but creating an experience for one of the happiest days of your life is a whole other pursuit. Kortney described her vision for the day as “modern boho with a twist.” She nailed it, with exotic yet laid back floral arrangements and layered vintage rugs covering the sand for the aisle.

In the most beautiful form of PDA, the couple wrote their own vows and read them in front of all their guests. They were “personal and meaningful” and judging by Ryan’s smile, they weren’t short on humour. 

Our favourite thing about Kortney and Ryan’s wedding was how laid back and fun it was. Family and love are the center of Kortney’s world and it’s clear from the smiles and affection from all the guests, that there were good vibes all around.
