There’s no better time to light up your home than the holiday season, but when it comes to candles we love burning ours year-round. There’s no cozier way to lightly scent your space while adding instant ambiance, whether you’re having a chill movie night, hanging with friends, or meditating at the end of the day.

So imagine a candle that can last you an entire year. One at Costco is trending, and we found it in Canada. TikTok has been all about these popular 3.5 pound Sand + Fog candles, especially with the accompanying $25 price tag (or $40 online). For those who love a good bargain, that’s pretty comparable to the 12-ounce candles currently available on Amazon.

So what’s the fuss, exactly? Keep scrolling to find out!

Why These Candles Are So Popular

Sand + Fog is a popular candle maker thanks to its products’ delicious scents and long-lasting burn quality. So, finding a giant, 3.5-pound version that can last up to a year is a pretty great bargain. That’s a 57-ounce candle, people.

These candles have four cotton wicks for an even burn and are made from a soy wax blend. They also come in three scents: Feu de Bois (firewood), Blush Rose and Ocean Mist. Each candle also comes in a coloured glass container (red, white and black) that would make a cute vase or container once the candle is done.

Potential Cons of These Candles

If you love a stronger-scented candle, know that some users online have noted that Sand + Fog isn’t as pungent as some other candles out there. Then again, perhaps a slight misting of scent is what you’re after.

Alternatively, if you’re the type who likes to mix up your candle scents, perhaps this candle is just too big. After all, not everyone has a ton of storage space, and rotating smaller candles might suit your personality better.

The other con that’s been popping up online is the alternating price. While some shoppers have found the viral candle for $25, others reported paying a lot more to bring theirs home.
