This Canadian Skywalk Is Among the Best in the World

We’re proud to claim that this incredibly stunning skywalk is located right here in Canada. Located in Jasper National Park in Alberta, the Columbia Icefield Skywalk has a glass-bottom bridge. It overlooks the Sunwapta Valley which sits around 918 feet below for the ultimate jaw-dropping experience.

This skywalk in Norway is made from steel, pine, concrete and glass. Not to mention, it’s located on Aurland Mountain. It’s part of the Norwegian Scenic Route, which is a collection of 18 roads that wind through the country’s most beautiful forests and nature. At 2,132 feet in the air, you have access to spectacular panoramic views of mountains and the Flåm River.  

The Grand Canyon boasts undoubtedly one of the best views in the world already so it’s no surprise the skywalk has made it onto this list. Designed by MRJ Architects, this U-shaped bridge features a glass floor and hangs around 4,000 feet above the canyon.

Located in Qingyuan, China near the Nine Waterfall, you can expect incredible heart-stopping views while walking across the 1,079-foot glass bridge, and admiring the rushing waterfall through the tropical forest. There’s even a “UFO” platform and a heart-shaped one at the bottom.

Instagram photos are encouraged at this skywalk where the gorgeous mountain views are the perfect backdrop. This skywalk is known as the “stairway to nothingness” that offers amazing alpine views. If you have the chance to visit, you won’t be disappointed.

In 2017, the Longgang National Geological Park made China’s list of Five A’s (the government’s scale of tourist attractions, with five being the highest). The skywalk overlooks caves, stalagmites and grasslands for a particularly epic and scenic view. 

This skywalk sits around 4,029 feet above sea level and has views that extend as far as the Adriatic Sea and Croatian islands. On crystal clear sunny days, you can even spot Italy in the distance. Does it get any better?

Calling all brave souls, this skywalk is for you! The Skybridge at Tianmenshan Mountain in Zhanjiajie, China hangs on the side of the cliff with a completely glass bottom and is 4,700 feet up in the air. The platform is only three feet wide, so this one takes the cake for being the most frightening.

The Langkawi Skybridge is one of the world’s longest curved suspension bridges. It sits around 2,170 feet above sea level and has views of the jungle sitting below. Fun fact: a helicopter was used to bring the pieces to the top of the mountain, which was later put together.

The Messner Mountain Museum Corones was designed by world-renowned Zaha Hadid and is part of a series of museums designed to honour and teach about the world’s most spectacular summits. Visitors can see South Tyrol, the Lienz Dolomites, Ortler Mountain, Marmolada Mountain and the Zillertal Alps from the museum’s perch at the top of the peak.

This rectangular-shaped skywalk was completed in 2020 and boasts amazing views of Mostar, Bosnia. For thrill-seekers, there’s even a zipline attraction at the Fortica adventure park as part of the Mountaineering and Cycling Association from Mostar to encourage tourism.
