Pamela Anderson’s Absolutely Enchanting Garden Shed

Knowing that Pamela has a fondness for stone paths (never forget the path debacle over at The Roadhouse), landscaper Kurtis created a thoughtful new path that integrates The Potting Shed with The  Rose Garden and creates more balance in the large yard.

“The Rose Garden is no longer a postage stamp in the middle of this field. Now it has something else to talk to,” Francesca says of The Potting Shed. The Potting Shed is also punctuated with plenty of plants. Part of Kurtis’s landscaping plans were re-wilding, which is bringing some of the native plants back to protect the biodiversity in the area.

Functional doesn’t have to be boring! The outdoor sink adds rustic charm and texture to the outside of the shed. Reminiscent of natural stone washed up on the beach, it perfectly complements the soft white design with woodsy details.

One of the most important aspects to the design of the structure was that there was plenty of natural light and breeze so that it’s a comfortable working environment during the hot summer months. The construction crew had to reconfigure the windows to ensure they could be opened, rather than the fixed windows they had initially installed.

Recognize the flooring? It’s the bricks from Pamela and Jonathan’s path designed for  The Roadhouse exterior. Francesca was able to repurpose them and use them in the design for The Potting Shed in alignment with Pamela’s desire to reuse as many materials as possible before purchasing new.

Francesca sourced vintage furniture fitting with Pamela’s romantic yet eclectic style. The wrought iron set seen here was originally from an ice cream parlour. Perfect for outside the shed on a beautiful day or to enjoy a restful break during a busy day in the rose garden!

To balance the shed, Pamela wanted dormer roofing on each side, plus a wooden deck from both. While it created more work for contractor Darren and team, he agreed that she was right (as always) in her design instincts.

An adorable addition to The Potting Shed is the cut-out dog cupboard area where Pamela’s beloved pets can rest in style. Sleeping in a doghouse has never looked better than this!

A day before the reveal of The Potting Shed, Pamela had one more request: A swing to be added to the pergola area of The Rose Garden. Out with the romantic dining area and in with the new swing, perfect for relaxing among the roses with a coffee and book.

As is fitting with a creative mind like Pamela, the designs on her property are living and breathing, and she continually has new ideas on how to improve each area as she lives in them. The new pergola and The Potting Shed both used clear roofing in the designs, making for a light-filled sanctuary for both Pamela and all her growing plants.
