Céline Dion’s Quebec Mansion Sells for $25.5M

Located on its own 830,000-square-foot private island, Celine Dion’s home finally sold after being placed on the market two years ago. The realtor-Sotheby’s-confirms it’s the most expensive home on the market in the entire province of Quebec.

Not so much a home as it is a modern-day castle, the grand entry foyer features “luxurious classical interiors that are unrivaled in their finishing and detailing,” notes Sotheby’s.

The formal living room, with the emphasis on “formal.” Imagine coming in, kicking off your shoes and settling in to relax at the Palace of Versailles and you get an idea of the vibe.

All the modern conveniences are on hand in this completely customized artisan kitchen from high-end firm La Cornue Chateau.

The massive dining room is made for entertaining, and can comfortably sit 18 (even if the effect is sort of like having dinner in a medieval dungeon).

According to Sotheby’s, the home was designed in the style of a French Normand chateau, which is apparent in the furnishings and design details throughout.

The classic styling takes a breather in this media room/family room area that boasts a more modern aesthetic, complete with a big comfy couch positioned right in front of the TV.

A spectacularly over-the-top soaker tub is the centrepiece of this spacious bathroom.
